The Met Office in Piarco has reported observing what it calls a broad area of disturbed weather around 2 pm today, south east of Trinidad and Tobago.
This, it says, is possible evidence of a low chance of tropical cyclone developing over the next 24 to 48 hours, and chances are that it could increase to a medium possibility over the next 3 to 4 days.
The Met Office says this system they will be under constant investigation and monitoring over the period.
Citizens are being asked to take note, and to take the necessary precautions, reminding us that as the country is in the Hurricane Season.
But, the notice says the country is not yet under tropical cyclone watch or warning.
This follows heavy rains in most parts of the country earlier today.
