The National Security Minister tells the parliament soldiers will remain in communities described as crime hot spots.
Gary Griffith made the revelation in the House of Representatives on Friday afternoon.
In recent time there have been several complaints from citizens about soldiers allegedly abusing their authority.
Minister Griffith said the soldiers will continue to work with the police officers during maintained patrols.
He said there are detractors who are trying to misguide the public by peddling misinformation.
