Parents and teachers of the Rousillac SDMS Hindu School at the Happy Hill Community Centre are assured by the Education Ministry that a pre-fabricated structure will be placed next to the community centre with four air-conditioned classrooms in September to alleviate overcrowding at the centre.
Additionally, the Education Facilities Company Limited will conduct repairs on the community centre to upgrade its facilities.
During a meeting this week a team of Ministry officials visited the St. Patrick Education District on where parents were given the opportunity to express their concerns with the preferred solution.
Their main concern was with the timely procurement and installation of the pre-fabricated building for the new school term.
Minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Dr Lovell Francis, also gave an update concerning the construction of the new Rousillac SDMS Hindu School.
He said the Ministry’s Legal Team is reviewing the contract and when they are completed and funds are allocated, construction will recommence.
