Chairman of the National Carnival Commission, Colin Lucas, says he believes there is still a need to strengthen the link between tourism and culture.
Mr. Lucas says this linkage can play a key role in boosting economic revenue, providing jobs, especially in these tough times.
He was speaking on yesterday’s edition of the Business Corner, here on Power 102.1FM. He insisted that this linkage still needed to be explored fully, saying he plans to use his position and influence in this regard.
Mr. Lucas, band leader and lead vocalist, and former business executive, added that the public can expect action from the NCC Board led by him on this matter.
Mr. Lucas is also a former general manger of the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.
