Newly elected Tobago House of Assembly Minority Leader calls on the Chief Secretary and Prime Minister to enact a serious crime plan for Tobago.
Assemblyman Watson Duke is lamenting the spike in crime on the sister isle.
He expressed that sentient during a media conference Monday held at the Office of the Public Services Association in Port of Spain.
Apart from what Mr Duke refers to as the lack of crime plan, he indicated that there must also be programmes put in place to rebuild the public’s trust in police as well as to fix an out of date prison system which have contributed to the problems being faced.
Mr Duke is calling on Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley to lend his attention to the grim situation that the country is facing.
