Police data indicates that over 400 persons have been killed as a result of domestic violence since 1991.
President of the Single Fathers Association, Rhondall Feeles, in a News Power Now interview said greater effort is needed to get to the root causes of domestic violence.
Mr. Feeles warned that going forward it cannot be a hand-off attitude towards the issue especially at the community level.
He also recommended that the support systems and agencies to help victims and perpetrators of domestic violence are accessible and free of red tape.
