Whoever assumes the mantle of the leadership of the Congress of the People must use the recent public attention for the good of the party.
This is according to leadership hopeful, Nicole Dyer Griffith.
Speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on power 102.1FM on Thursday morning, she said despite attempts to stop it, elections to choose a new COP Leader are still on.
She said she and her team are doing all that is needed to ensure that she is ready for Sunday.
She admitted that while the optics do not look good for the party, the COP has not enjoyed this much attention in a long time, and as such the intense focus should be capitalized upon now.
When asked why there seemed to be an insistence that she did not compete for the position of Leader of the party she said that she was unsure of the reason.
