It is not surprising that the People’s National Movement was victorious in the recently concluded Tobago House of Assembly elections.
This is the view of Political Scientist Dr. Winford James.
He feels that one contributing factor to the win by the PNM was the obvious display of unity and organisation by the party.
He said that several other factors would have contributed to PNM’s win at the elections as well.
He said that the Opposition was disunited during their bid for an electoral win, even though the figures suggest that even if you had put all their votes together the PNM would have won by the same margin.
