Overcrowding at Sando Hospital Amid Heightened Swine Flu Concerns

The San Fernando General Hospital is reported to be overcrowded with patients, many of whom have been visiting the health institution with reports of flu like symptoms.

News Power Now understands that there are space constraints as a result.

Late Thursday and throughout the day on Friday, a number of persons are reported to have visited the Accident and Emergency department of the hospital. There were 5 cases of Swine Flu reported, at the San Fernando General Hospital. Two persons have died as a result. One persons is said to be awaiting results in the Intensive Care Unit.

The San Fernando General Hospital, meanwhile, has assured that a containment unit has been set up for persons with the illness and those suspected of having contracted it.
