Parliamentary incumbent for the constituency of Mayaro, Winston ‘Gypsy’ Peters

Parliamentary incumbent for the constituency of Mayaro, Winston ‘Gypsy’ Peters held a media conference this morning at the International Waterfront, Hyatt, in Port-
of-Spain giving some insight in to why he was by-passed as the United National Congress candidate for Mayaro.

Mr. Peters said that he was troubled by the Prime Minister’s decision not to select him for the constituency which he won in 2010.

The current Minister of Community Development said he felt abused but still made several efforts to reach out to the Prime Minister, but remained unable to get in
contact with her.

other decision but to tender his resignation as Minister of Community Development and as a member of the United National Congress.
