Forensic pathologist Dr. Valerie Alexandrov is today saying that officials at the Ministry of National Security are trying to silence him.
Dr. Alexandrov has been outspoken about issues affecting the Forensic Science Centre in St. James.
However today he tells news power now that there are attempts to stop him from speaking with the media.
Dr. Alexandrov says another problem he now faces is losing his international accreditation as a pathologist due to the amount of autopsies he performs.
He explains that an accredited pathologist must perform no more than 250 such procedures per year and is that number reaches 325, the doctor is considered to be deficient.
He is now suggesting that junior doctors be hired to perform autopsies which are not subject to prosecution.
However Dr. Alexandrov is hopeful that the situation will improve at the St James Science Centre following a recent visit from national security Minister Edmund Dillon.
