The People’s National Movement has come out victorious in the Tobago House of Assembly elections copping 10 out of the 12 seats.
The other two seats went to the Progressive Democratic Patriots led by Watson Duke.
PDP leader Watson Duke was victorious in Belle Garden East/Roxborough/Delaford while Farley Augustine won the Parlatuvier/ L’anse Fourmi/ Speyside seat.
The results now means that Kelvin Charles will be sworn in as the new Chief Secretary. This will be done on Thursday.
Last night PNM political leader Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley addressed party supporters and offered congratulations to the successful candidates.
He said that that the win meant quite a lot and signified the great work done by the outgoing team.
