Finance Minister, Colm Imbert

The People’s Partnership came in for some strong criticism from Finance Minister, Colm Imbert.

During budget debate in the Parliament yesterday the Finance Minister took the previous administration to task for what he described as wastage of public funds.

He stated that what made the situation more reprehensible was the fact that the former Prime Minister and
those who served with her claimed to be unaware of the serious financial state that the country was now left in.

He went on to list other incidents of unwarranted spending and what he termed the wastage of millions of
dollars in tax payers’ money.

He also addressed the unnecessary use of the helicopter by the former Prime Minister, and he also stated that
the present Prime Minister was not as wasteful.

Kamlas government was on the right track becoming the Greece of the carribean. No tax for property was the solution to leave land idling and wait for a better price. After the foreigner was willing to buy the land hire a killer to murder the foreigner and take the property back.Hopefully the new government will change this
