Good news today for the mentally ill in Trinidad and Tobago- this as News Power Now has learnt that pharmaceutical drugs required to treat them, have, in recent time, become more accessible.
In recent months, there had been much concern over the shortage of certain drugs, particularly those used to treat cancer patients and the mentally ill.
News Power Now this morning spoke with a credible source who said there has been an improvement.
Meanwhile, Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Akenath Misir told News Power Now that drugs have been coming into the country.
He said oncology drugs were a priority and noted that problems highlighted at the St. Ann’s Psychiatric hospital, have more or less, been ironed out.
