The Government is assuring citizens that there are back up measures in place should there be a low turnout again of immigration officers at the Piarco International Airport.
This resulted in long delays for passengers waiting to be processed.
National Security Minister, Edmund Dillon, gave the undertaken in the House of Representatives this afternoon.
The response was given by Minister Dillon as he answered a question on the issue posed to him by Naparima Member of Parliament, Rodney Charles.
Minister Dillon said a probe is being conducted into the development and legal advice has also been sought on it.
