Newly released CCTV footage has captured the police shooting of Adalle Gilbert.
Police investigators now have in their possession closed circuit camera or CCTV footage showing the moments leading up to and after the shooting of Adalle Gilbert by police officers in San Fernando last Thursday.
The video shows the actions of several police officers with the conduct of one officer in particular the focus of the attention of the Homicide Bureau and Professional Standards Unit of the Police Service.
A parallel investigation is being pursued by the Police Complaints Authority (PCA).
Reports indicate that statements were being taken from civilian witnesses yesterday, to match against the stories given by police officers connected to the shooting.
Gilbert, a father of four, was shot dead by police officers at a construction site at Lawrence Street, Carlton Lane, San Fernando.
His wife, 27 year old Alisha Richards was granted $15,000 bail when she appeared before a San Fernando magistrate last Friday charged with assaulting a police officer while a bleeding Gilbert was being carried away the previous day.
