Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two men in San Juan and Laventille.
According to reports, 32-year-old Garvin Greene of Febeau Village, San Juan, was seen walking along the roadway near his home, when he was approached by a group of men in a black Nissan B-13 motor vehicle.
Police were called in after residents reportedly heard several loud explosions.
When officers from North Eastern Division Task arrived they found Greene lying in a pool of blood on the roadway.
He was then taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
In the other incident 24-year-old Royston Gupty aka “Killist” of Building Six, Canada, Laventille was found on the roadway near the apartment building.
Police say that at around 6.30pm, officers from the Inter-Agency Task Force received a report of a shooting at the apartment building.
When officers arrived they found Gupty’s body along with 28 spent shells.
