The Police Service and Social Welfare Association is once again calling on the the Ministry of National Security to properly equip the

association’s members with the tools and gear needed to combat hostile crowds when such situations arise.
The call, made by Secretary of the Police Social and Welfare Association, Insp. Michael Seales comes on the heels of a viral video that

was posted on social media network Facebook, on Tuesday. The video showed a group of women engaged in heated combat at the

Queen’s Park Savannah. It also showed police officers being forced to use their fists to contain the women involved in the fracas.
Inspector Seales said the issue of police officers being under equipped has been on the table for some time.
