Citizens are being warned to avoid getting caught up in the election hype but instead, remain focused on the issues affecting the nation.
The advice comes from political analyst Dr. Winsford James.
He made the comment while speaking on the Election Hard Talk Programme hosted by veteran journalist, Tony Fraser, on Tuesday afternoon.
Dr. James said over the years the election campaign has been used to gain political mileage.
However, he said citizens must look for performance and action and not just talk.
The political analyst said crime is an issue that must be closely looked at.
