Princes Town police or now investigating a shooting in Moruga which took place at around 10:45am today.
Reports stated that 34 year old Devon Cooper of Indian Walk was shot multiple times in both legs.
At the time he was in the Teak in Lengua, well known drug block in the area.
He is warded in serious condition at San Fernando General.
The suspect in the matter is said to be 5ft 8″ in height, light complexion with a corn row hair style.
He escaped in Blue Almera vehicle, the registration number unknown.
And Hassan Ali, one of the four by-standers who was injured in an exchange of gunfire between a bandit and a police officer last Friday, has died.
34 year old Ali died around 7pm last night at the Port-of-Spain General Hospital.
He had been shot in the head and had been in intensive care since the incident.
loop tt.com is reporting that at the time of his death, he was surrounded by a group of friends and family.
Meanwhile, the decomposed body of the man which washed ashore at Point Coco beach, Granville, on Sunday has been identified as 25-year-old Che-Anderson Reid.
Reid was said to be a taxi driver from Cunupia.
This was the second decomposed body to be found in the waters of the Gulf of Paria over the weekend.
The other body has been identified as 21-year-old Wazim Nabbie.
Both Reid and Nabbie were reported missing at the St Joseph Police Station last Wednesday after Nabbie’s white Nissan Almera motor car was found abandoned at King’s Wharf, San Fernando.
Nabbie’s body was discovered by a crew of offshore workers near a Trinmar Brighton Marine Fields platform at around 2.05 p.m. on Saturday.
His hands and feet were bound and plastic wrapped around his neck.
Reid was found in a similar situation as his hands and feet were bound with duct tape.
The two killings are believed to be linked and the vehicle has since been sent to the Forensic Science Center in St James to undergo forensic examination.
