There have been reactions to the Government’s mid-term review carded for this Friday.
President General of the Oilfield Workers Trade Union Ancil Roget has revealed that there is no expectation by the Trade Union Movement that anything good would come out of the review.
He stated that until there was meaningful consultations that allowed for the suggestion of alternatives the Union could not see anything beneficial being announced this Friday.
He was speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102.1dm this morning.
He disclosed that in terms of consultation, the tripartite board was set up to ensure that all the stakeholders could come together to look at the issues and put forward solutions.
He also divulged that while there has been some issues that the Labor Movement has had to deal with recently, the Labor Minister Jennifer Baptiste- Primus has been doing her best given the constraints that she has been working with.
