Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley, says he is willing to meet representatives of the labour movement tomorrow for discussions.
On August 4th following their mass march and rally in Port- of- Spain, trade union leaders requested a meeting with the Prime Minister.
Dr. Rowley was also given a deadline of Friday August 18th to respond to their request.
Trade unions have claimed that the workers have been made to feel the brunt of the economic situation and are victims of job cuts.
Speaking at a media briefing held in Tobago on Monday the Prime Minister made it clear that he is not opposed to meeting with trade union officials.
