We don’t intend to take the advice of the people who are responsible for us being in office.
This is according to the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Dr. Keith Rowley.
At a PNM Meeting last evening the Prime Minister blamed the previous administration for many of the issues facing the T&T economy.
He said that it was not customary for the Government to have issues paying salaries.
However he revealed that is the situation that the present administration found themselves.
He also said that those who knew better were pretending that this was not so.
The Prime Minister criticized Bhoe Tewarie for saying that the Government had no plan.
However he said this was far from the truth.
He said the Government intended to close the gap between expenditure and revenue.
He also chastised the Opposition for allowing as little time as possible for the new Government to effectively present the budget last year.
