This country’s Prime Minister last evening got the opportunity to speak of her plans, should her government return to the helm for a second term.

During the State TV organized, Leadership Exchange, which Mrs. Persad Bissessar sat unchallenged and questioned by panelists, economist, Dr. Morgan Job, former PNM Councillor, Isha Wells and political analyst Derek Ramsamooj, the Prime Minister spoke of her desire to  create a Ministry of Defense to combat crime, in a second term.

Toward the end of the exchange, the Prime Minister was asked whether she smokes marijuana, a question that stemmed from a recent report that a small quantity of marijuana had been found at the PM’s Phillipine home. She told Isha Wells and the nation that she does not engage in the use of marijuana.

The exchange was not attended by any other political party leader, despite requests by CNMG’s Ken Ali for PNM Leader, Dr. Keith Rowley to be a part of the exchange.
