A prison officer has been stabbed to death in Claxton Bay.
Reports state the body of 37-year-old Dominique Bernard was found on Sunday night on the veranda of an apartment on the upper level of a house at Plaisance Park.
Police say Bernard of Jack Street, Marabella and another prison’s officer were at the home of woman, when they both got into a heated argument. A struggle ensued following which Bernard was stabbed.
The suspect has surrendered to police.
Commenting on the development, Prison Officer’s Association President, Ceron Richards in an interview with News Power Now said the organisation does not have all the facts surrounding the reported murder of one of its members but is saddened by the incident.
