By no means are we in the business of shutting down any organization, we are in the business of providing water for all.

These are the sentiments expressed by Public Services Association President.

The PSA head is now saying that he never instructed workers attached the Water and Sewage Authority to shut down WASA’s plants by means of strike action for outstanding back pay negotiations.

He made the comments in light of voice notes that have been circulating via messaging service WhatsApp, purportedly sent by employees warning of a massive shutdown of the Authority by employees.

Duke commenting on the Prime Minister’s speech regarding the state of the economy and the Government’s stance on public servants who are to receive back pay, said the Prime Minister has to earn the respect of citizens in order to gain respect.
