Health care workers

President of the Public Servants Association, Watson Duke

President of the Public Servants Association, Watson Duke has stated that Health care workers are professionals and are quite able to perform their jobs.

He made the comments in light of several problems that have surrounded the health sector over the past few years.

Speaking on an interview this morning, Duke came to health care workers defense.

He said they were not given efficient tools to work with and blamed lack of training done locally and equipment for the shortcomings of public health care workers.

Commenting on the current H1N1 virus scare at the hospitals, Duke said some workers were trained last year, with the Ebola outbreak and was confident workers could handle the task at hand.
