The Public Services Association says the two week deadline given to address health and safety concerns at the Licensing Office on Wrightson Road in Port of Spain is over and the matter will now be taken to court.
On Tuesday Transport Commissioner, Rueben Cato, in an interview said, most of the workers are back on the job and measures are being taken to correct challenges identified.
However, PSA President, Watson Duke, in a News Power Now interview on Wednesday afternoon, said the union is not backing down from its position on this serious issue.
Mr. Duke also commented on the new working hours of 8am to 1pm recommended by the union to the relevant authorities.
He said challenges cited have not been treated with a level of urgency.
