The Met Office in an update to our News Room this afternoon revealed that Tropical Storm Erika was located about 205 kilometers west of Guadeloupe.
The fifth tropical Storm Erika is moving west near 26 kilometers per hour. Maximum sustained winds are near 85 kilo meters per hour with higher gusts.
Chief Meteorologist Shakeer Baig in an interview with News Power Now this afternoon explained that on its present track and forward speed.
Tropical Storm Erika poses no immediate threat to Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and its dependencies.
However, the general public is advised to monitor its movement through media reports as it moves through the Northern Caribbean.
The local weather official said there are storm watches and warnings in place for some regional territories.
