Former Attorney General Anand Ramlogan appeared in the Port of Spain Magistrate’s Court before magistrate Nanette Forde-John this morning to answer charges of misbehavior in public office and obstruction of justice.
The charges stem from witness tampering allegations made against him by Director of the Police Complaints Authority, Mr. David West in 2015.
Speaking with reporters outside the Court following his appearance, Mr. Ramlogan voiced confidence that the truth would set him free.
The former Attorney General described the raid that took place at his home in Palmiste earlier this week as a harrowing experience.
He will next appear in Court on January 11th next year when the case will continue to be heard.
