Residents Call For Justice In The Killing Of Atiba Duncan

Yet another appeal to citizens not to prejudge the outcome of investigations into the police killing of Mt Dor resident, Atiba Duncan, on April 4th.

The killing sparked demonstrations by the residents who also called for justice in the matter.

There is also controversy following comments by Justice Minister and St Joseph Member of Parliament, Herbert Volney, that the killing was a homicide.

However, in a News Power Authority interview, Police Social and Welfare Association President, Sergeant Anand Ramesar, said the process must be allowed to work.

Mr Ramesar said it’s vital the investigation is transparent as public trust in the police service cannot be compromised.
