Central Division Senior Superintendent, Johnny Abraham is today defending his division, saying that despite public outcry over the apparent lack of police presence at the funeral of Allan ‘Scanny’ Martin on Monday, he was unaware that the service was being held in his division.
Speaking with Power 102.1FM this morning, Johnny Abraham said it would be difficult at this point to identify who the shooters at the funeral of Allan Scanny Martin were and the police in the area should have been notified of the service by the religious leader.
The Senior Superintendent questioned why police intelligence did not provide information to his division prior to the service.
Mr. Abraham said he plans on having a discussion on the issue with senior authorities of the police service, admitting that he is embarrassed by the situation.
The senior police officer said one man has been arrested, having been found with a firearm, after the funeral on Monday night.
