Speaking with News Power Now this morning, Spiritual Baptist matriarch, Archbishop Barbara Gray Burke said a lot has happened since chains of suppression were broken some 99 years ago.

On the issue of crime and violence being perpetrated among youth in Trinidad and Tobago, and the role of the church, Archbishop Burke said parents need to influence more.

Spiritual Shouter Baptists and government alike have no recipe to tackle youth crime. The recipe is corporal punishment at school carried out by trained security guards.Every morning the children have to be screened for weapons like knives and pistols. It is more than naive that criminal parents will change the behaviour of their criminal children. The shouter baptiste should do what they can best making noise. For them T&T is a paradise because no colonial master will outlaw them anymore. However, they have no solution whatsoever against criminal pupils.
