Speaking with News Power Now, Minister Smith had this to say on the committee’s role in Trinidad and Tobago’s Olympic representation.
Smith went on, expressing his shock at how the adults surrounding the two young ladies have been handling the situation.
He gave his assurance that the situation will be rectified, once all issues are aired and all accurate information has been assessed.

Meanwhile, well-wishers, family, friends, members of her gymnastics club Tots and Tumblers and others, will be gathering at the Piarco International Airport this evening, to welcome home displaced Olympic hopeful gymnast Thema Williams.
Williams is due to arrive late this evening, at around 11.30pm, and it is expected that a large group will be waiting, to show her their love and support, in the face of a very challenging situation.
