President of the Islamic Front Umar Abdullah now says it is clear that the Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister has no idea what has been happening regarding local being held in Venezuela.
Yesterday Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister Dennis Moses revealed that work is being done on preparing new travel documents for three of the five nationals still in the custody of the Venezuela Intelligence Agency.
However, today, refuting claims by the Minister, Abdullah claimed that travel documents were not necessary for nationals to return here.
He also reveals that the documents that the Minister referred to were already in the possession of the relevant authorities.
Abdullah is also disclosing that comments from Moses that the nationals were held at a place that they
were not supposed to be held was incorrect.
He says that it appears from the way Moses answered the questions that he was searching for answers
and that he was not clear on the issue.
Yesterday the Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister told reporters that a meeting between officials from this country’s embassy in Caracas as well as from the Immigration and the Detention facilities did not come off on Wednesday.
However Abdullah speaks of another meeting that the Minister never mentioned.
