On Wednesday, nine year old Tristan Khan received a broken arm after allegedly being attacked by a fellow pupil during recess. Today, Education Minister, Anthony Garcia said a preliminary report on the matter has been received, and based on what has been reported by the school’s principal, the two boys had in fact been playing.
The Minister said while the investigation is ongoing, he would like to urge parents and the public at large to avoid making unsubstantiated statements.
The elbow socket of the child’s arm was reportedly broken during the incident. Doctors at the Sangre Grande General Hospital yesterday attempted to repair the socket, however reports are that only will tell if the surgical procedure was successful.
