There is now an assurance being given to citizens that there will be a zero tolerance in the Police Service to corrupt officers.
The commitment comes from Acting Police Commissioner, Stephen Williams.
He gave the undertaking as he commented on the recent arrest of a police officer following a robbery of a Chinese businessman at Claxton Bay.
The Acting Police Commissioner was speaking at the weekly police media briefing held at the Police Administrative Building, Sackville Street, Port of Spain Wednesday.
Mr Williams admitted that the incident has put a dent to the image of the TTPS and hurt public trust and confidence in the service, adding that measures are in place to ensure rogue officers are dealt with.
