This is according to Promoter of the Caribbean Racing Championships Rishi Canick.
Reports indicate that four people were injured after a car ploughed into spectators taking in the race.
Videos of the accident which have been going viral on social media show a car crossing the track and ploughing into spectators.
Speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102.1fm this morning, Canik stated that FIA Standards were observed before the race.
FIA is the International Governing Body for motor sport.
Mr. Canick was asked to comment on allegations that FIA representatives had reviewed the area and deemed it unsafe.
He disclosed that he was unaware of the allegations and that eve ry effort had been made to ensure that safety standards were net.
Commenting on the layout of the track, he also stated that barriers made with tyres around the perimeter is the accepted standard for races.
