The contribution and life of former Prime Minister, Patrick Manning, is highlighted during today’s business in the Senate.
69 year old Mr Manning passed away at San Fernando General Hospital on Saturday.
The introduction of the Government Assistance Tuition Expenses Programme or GATE was one of several initiatives that were brought to the spot by Government Senator Foster Cummings.
Opposition Senator, Wade Mark, spoke of the courage displayed by Mr Manning in spite of the many challenges encountered.
Meanwhile, Independent Senator, David Small, reflected on Mr Manning’s long and illustrious career in public life.
