The Tobago Hotel and Tourism Association is of the view that the sister isle will feel the effects of the decision by National carrier, Caribbean Airlines to stop its service to London Gatwick from January 10th next year.
CAL cites high maintenance costs as one of the reasons for the move to withdraw its Boeing 767 fleet from its operations.
The carrier said the move was taken after a detailed review of its network consistent with the competitive environment.
CAL explained as a consequence of this change the airline will discontinue service to London Gatwick from early 2016.
In a News Power Now interview Tobago Hotel and Tourism Association President, Christopher James, said the group is hoping other airlines will take up the slack.
