The TT Blind Welfare Association claims they have not been contacted regarding ending the impasse of the lock down at the school

BLIND PROTESTThe TT Blind Welfare Association or TTBWA is voicing its concern as there are claims that the Ministry of Education has not contacted the Association in an effort to start the process to end the impasse regarding the lock down of the school.

Speaking with News Power Now, CEO Kenneth Suratt indicated that the lockdown will continue until the Association is allowed to provide the school’s domestic services unhindered by the principal.

Mr Suratt also stated that there needs to be a timely resolution to this issue as there is only one school for blind children in the country which services children both in Trinidad and Tobago. If this matter is prolonged it will be to the detriment of the children who are blind because their parents do not have another option to have them educated.
