Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley is insisting that the government will not allow public servants to hold the country to ransom.
He made the comment while reflecting on the poor turnout of Immigration officers on Sunday at the Piarco International Airport.
Reports say only two of fifteen Immigration Officers turned up for duty.
The situation caused long delays for many travelers who were waiting to be processed.
However, speaking at the opening of a Bridge in Diego Martin, Dr. Rowley said the action taken by the workers was not in the best interest of the country.
