The United Nation Congress has been asked to leave the Rienzi Complex.
This is because the party cannot continue to pay the $25,000 monthly rental fee.
This was confirmed by UNC Chairman David Lee who stated that the party was asked to vacate the premises by the All Trinidad General Trade Union Workers Union.
In a press release he revealed that the UNC had been up to date in its rental payments for the complex including the increased rental which reportedly doubled this year to $25 ooo.
He also denied reports that the party was in arrears of rent.
Rienzi Complex has been home to the UNC for some 27 years.
Long-serving UNC Member Dr. Tim Gopeesingh called Rienzi Complex a nostalgic place but said they will leave if it becomes necessary.
Dr. Gopeesingh in an interview said the entire issue is under consideration by the Political Leader and Executive.
