Tobago Heritage Festival continues

The focus is on Canaan as the 25th edition of the prestigious Tobago Heritage Festival continues tonight.

On Friday evening the two week festival of activities which attracts hundreds of visitors locally and abroad was launched at the Dwight Yorke Stadium car park.

In the spotlight are some of the island’s best performing groups and the action moves  daily from village to village showcasing Tobago’s traditions of dance, music, story- telling, culture and food.

Coordinator of Marketing, Public Relations and Sponsorship of the Heritage Festival Committee, Zalesha Moses, tells us at  Canaan the spotlight will focused on the role of citizens in the development of young ones.

She also indicated although the weather has affected some of the activities the attendance has been great so far.

The focus shifts to Blackrock with the sea festival tomorrow.
