The Tobago Hotel and Tourism Association is reporting low occupancy levels during July \August holiday period.
Traditionally this is the most hectic time of year for the tourism sector in the sister isle with several popular events attracting many visitors both local and international to the destination.
However, Carolann Birchwood James, Vice President of the T.H.T.A. in a News Power Now interview this afternoon said the situation this time around has not been an encouraging one.
She cited the developments due to challenges in air and sea transportation between the islands.
Mrs Birchwood James said it is important that problems identified are quickly resolved to ensure the industry does not face more complications.
