The trade union movement is welcoming news of government’s announcement to establish of a National Tripartite Advisory Council.
The labour fraternity has raised concerns about recent retrenchment in the private sector and expressed that similar action could be done in the public sector.
However, government has already indicated all will be done to avoid job cuts of public servants in spite of the tough economic situation.
At the weekly media briefing , Labour Minister , Jennifer Baptiste Primus, said the state is prepared to collaborate with key stake holders in the decision making process.
