The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service has advised citizens that a Tropical Wave is currently interacting with the Inter-Tropical Convergence
As a result over the past few hours parts of Trinidad and Tobago have been experiencing cloudy conditions with light to moderate showers.
Cloudy to overcast conditions with moderate to heavy showers and thundershowers are forecast to affect Trinidad and Tobago over the next 4 to 6 hours.
There is also the possibility of landslides and flash flooding occurring in heavy downpours.
Gusty winds can be expected in the vicinity of showers and thundershowers.
The MET office is advising citizens to be vigilant and exercise extreme caution on the roadways.
Also to be alert for electrical discharges from thundercloud activity.
The MET Office wishes to underscore that at this time Trinidad and Tobago is not under any tropical storm threat, watch or warning.
