Despite Wednesday’s black out across the country, the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission maintains that its partnership with Trinidad General Unlimited is a more cost effective arrangement.
The Commission indicated that the blackout was as a result of a problem at its TGU Plant in La Brea.
T&TEC, General Manager, Kelvin Ramsook, gave the update while addressing a sitting of the Public Accounts Committee into the affairs of the Commission at the Parliament Building.
Mr. Ramsook confirmed that the probe into the development continues.
