Electricity has, according to T&TEC, been restored to areas of Tabaquite and Mayo.
Fallen trees have downed power lines and other T&TEC infrastructure in several parts of the country, however acting corporate communications manager at the utility, Ms. Claire Cooper this morning told News Power Now that T&TEC crews are out and working arduously to ensure that power is restored in the shortest possible time, to the homes and business places of affected persons.
General Manager at T&TEC, Mr. Kelvin Ramsook also indicated earlier, that T&TEC crews were faced with mammoth tasks, especially in South East parts of the country. Mr. Ramsook however assured that all was being done to restore power to affected areas.
Mr. Ramsook said T&TEC had also been made aware of outages in Central parts of Trinidad, including Enterprise, North Trinidad areas such as Maracas Valley, Blanchichieusse and Matelot, among other parts. He said another 15 hours would be required by T&TEC for complete restoration of the electricity service, nationwide.
