Brother Resistance 3The Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation is trying to explain how the judging system for the Calypso Monarch operates, in light of criticism that the process is rigged.

Since, newly crowned monarch, Roderick “Chucky” Gordon, won the competition on Sunday, many persons called on TUCO to publicly to state how artiste are assessed.

President of TUCO, Lutalo “Brother Resistance” Masimba, explained that for each round of competition there is a panel of 15 judges who assess the categories of stage presentation, lyrics and music.

Each category was assessed by five judges.
